Wooden Planter Boxes? - wooden planters
My husband was from 4 wood (on cardboard cover) window to the planters in the front window of our house, which is preventing a good line to its interior, through decay instead? I thought the paper trays for wallpaper, but the settlers seem a little too deep for this idea. Any other suggestions? A large sculptural work of this right as well or kill plants? My petunias plane waves in these pots.

Yes, plastic has been mentioned already. But besides this, ask your husband to a good wood sealer such as Thompson water seal on http://www.thompsonsonline.com/
This protects the wood.
